Why IOC exists
Founder Andrew G. Black grew up in New York City, shaped by his grandmother and great-aunts and by his great-grandfather's plumbing business. Since then he has worked in hospitality, run his own businesses, farmed, built and spent decades on hands-on craftsmanship and restoration.
Those years taught him that a home is never just a list of tasks. Every client, home, family and project is different, so IOC starts by understanding you and builds the right solution around your needs. We would always rather under-promise and over-deliver.
How we work
Our in-house team does much of the work itself, with the same eye for detail on a touch-up as on a full remodel. When specialized work is needed, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC or roofing, we work with vetted, appropriately licensed and insured Trusted Network Partners. Whoever does the work, IOC coordinates the experience and remains your trusted point of contact.
Most relationships start with a complimentary 15-minute discovery call. Every project begins with a clearly defined scope and payment arrangement. While the work is underway we keep you informed, and before final payment we walk through the completed work together to confirm that the agreed scope has been fulfilled.

Founder & President
Andrew founded IOC and is closely involved in getting to know each client, their home and what matters to them.
Client Care Specialist
Michael brings a mix of creativity and hands-on know-how to IOC. His background spans advertising design and marketing, and 37 years of mechanical repair, installation and sales, including appliance repair, in homes and businesses. He is active in the community through the local Chamber of Commerce and Rotary. At IOC, Michael works with clients from the first conversation onward and is growing into a leadership role.
As IOC grows, different team members and Trusted Network Partners take part depending on what each client needs.
